The Library at Ferrar House contains a number of older books, and one or two of them are in a not-very-good condition.

The late Canon Bill Girard lived in his retirement at Little Gidding, and is now buried in the churchyard. It was his wish to have these three donated books rebound. The Walton book is a 17th-century edition; the other two are 19th-century.

  • A Memorial to the honourable George Herbert: Poems with a biography by Izaac Walton
  • George Herbert: The Temple With a Life of the Author by Rev. J. Lupton
  • The Antiquities of the Jews by Josephus

A local book-binder replaced and re-lettered the Herbert book covers and mended the spine of the third. The work was sponsored by the Friends for the Library.
