Now that the roof of Little Gidding church has been repaired, the next piece of restoration work is the bell. The bell has been unsafe to ring for several years. It has been removed and taken to John Taylor’s foundry at Loughborough for conservation work. A new headstock has been fitted which will allow it to be safely rehung and chimed. This picture of the bell with its new headstock is from Taylor’s website.
