monthly poetry evenings at Little Gidding

Every month there is a poetry evening at Ferrar House, usually featuring a different poet each time. Normally these evenings take place on the 13th of the month starting at 7.30pm. Follow the link for further details and exceptions.

Little Gidding Pilgrimage 2011

This year's Little Gidding Pilgrimage will take place on Saturday 14 May. We are very pleased to welcome the Bishop of Peterborough, the Rt Revd Donald Allister as our preacher at Evensong. The Dean of St Edmundsbury, the Very Revd Frances Ward will preside at the morning Eucharist, and the preacher will be the writer Ronald Blythe. Follow the link below for further details.

The Sixth Annual T S Eliot Festival at Little Gidding will take place on the weekend of 9 and 10 July.

Quarterly Sunday Services at Little Gidding

Evening Prayer is held at Little Gidding whenever there is a fifth Sunday in the month, at 6pm when Summer Time is in effect, and at 3pm in the winter. For more information follow the link below.

Monthly Friday Services at Little Gidding

A Service is held at Little Gidding every month at noon on the second Friday of the month. The next Service is on Friday 11 March. For more details, follow the link.

The Revd Jackie Duck

With sadness we report that the Revd Jackie Duck, incumbent at Little Gidding until last year, and a Trustee of the Little Gidding Trust, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday 10 October 2010.

Nicholas Ferrar Day and the AGM of the Friends 2010

The annual commemoration of Nicholas Ferrar takes place at Little Gidding on his feast day, Saturday 4 December 2010, with a celebration of Holy Communion at 10.30am, led by Bishop David Walker. The AGM of the Friends of Little Gidding will follow after lunch. For more information, follow the link.

Member of the Friends, Frank Burns, is cycling from Huntingdonshire to Rome to raise money for victims of the Haitian earthquake.

A Service at Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey will hold a service on Sunday 30 May 2010 at 6.30pm to commemorate the ordination, on Trinity Sunday 1626, of Nicholas Ferrar as a deacon. The Friends are closely involved in planning this service and members will be very welcome to attend.
