The first file is arranged as double page spreads, with the pictures at screen resolution. The second file is arranged so that you can print alternate sheets back-to-back, and fold the resulting sheets in half to create an A5 booklet.
If your printer cannot print double-sided, then it is probably simplest to feed sheets into your printer individually: print the first sheet and then feed it back into the printer to print the second sheet; print the third sheet on fresh paper and feed it back in for the fourth sheet; print the fifth sheet on fresh paper and feed back in for the sixth sheet; print the seventh sheet on fresh paper and feed back in for the eighth sheet.
